BIG NEWS: Rhett Is MOVING!!!!!!

On May 30th Rhett celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being open.  Now we are here to proudly announce that we will be moving to another location by August!
The shop has grown so much over the last year, and quite frankly we have out-grown our current spot!
This is a great problem to have. We have been struggling to find room here in the shop to put all of our inventory. The new space will allow for more room for product, but it will also be able to serve as a space to have events! The current space is just a little to cramped to do video premeires, but the new spot will allow for plenty of room for such events.
This move, of course is a huge undertaking, so we will have to be closed for a few days to make it happen.
More details about when we are going to be open and closed coming soon!
Also we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us though everything that has happened, and will continue to happen!  And we want to thank you in advance for being patient with us as we make the move and are switching things around!
The new location will be at 417 W. 4th st.  Basically on the opposite corner of 4th and Rogers from where we are now.
Thanks again for all the support. We will be updating this every week with more info about the new spot!
RHETT OR DIE!!!!!!!!

This GO SKATE DAY is gonna be a super fun one!

There are a lot of things happening all over the place and we want to fill you in on all the rad ones!!!!

Killer: http://www.facebook.com/events/123283084476942/

And Last but DEFINITELY not Least,

We are meeting up here at Rhett around 5 pm on Thursday to just have a good CHILL skate around town.

We will not be hitting up campus this year. Feel free to go there earlier, or whenever you want, but some folks will get arrested if we go there, so we are gonna stick to spots that are not so much of a bust!

Also Rhett is NOT responsible for anyone getting in trouble. Remember guys skateboarding is a crime, and we are all skating at our own risk.

So all interested should be here around 5pm. We'll SHRED!!!!

We've also been getting tons of new gear in. Come in and check out whats new.
Also we are currently trying to convince the city of Bloomington to build another skatepark, and/or some street style spots on the south side of town in the old switch yard.  Anyone can get involved.
Call or email the folks involved in the planning of the project!
Dave Williams is one of the folks in charge. His email is williamd@bloomington.in.gov
For more info on the Switch Yard Park go to www.switchyardpark.org.
Basically we are trying to get as MUCH public in put as possible the more emails he receives the more likely this thing is to happen.
An easy email would be:
..........................................................................................................
Hello my name is ________.
I am a ________________. (skater, parent of skater, business owner, etc...)
I think that adding a spot for people to skateboard in the plans for the Switch Yard Park would be greatly beneficial to the community, because____________. (it would give skaters a new place, it will give south side skaters a place to go, it will help local business, it will be a great addition to the cascades skatepark, it will help keep skaters out of the streets, etc....(give any reason you think would be  beneficial to the community!))
Thank you for your time, and for allowing public input.
Sincerely,
_________________.
...........................................................................................................
You could obviously add as much more as you like, but this is kind of a start! Please email the city ASAP. the more input the better.
So stop by the shop, email the city and GO SKATE!!!!!!!
Thanks for the support!!!!!
