GO SKATE DAY!!!
Well in case folks don't know, June 21 is GO SKATE DAY!
There are alot of events happening around the area tomorrow.
Terre Haute Skatepark benefit is happening from 10am-8pm. This is the event we at Rhett are going to!
Lawrenceburg/Blacklist go skate event is happening all day tomorrow in Lawrenceburg IN. A big posse from here is going to that as well.
Killer Skatepark in Evansville is having an contest tomorrow at 4pm Evansville time.
Also some folks will probably meet here at the shop and skate tomorrow as well.
Since there is so much stuff going on, there will be no official Rhett event here in Bloomington tomorrow.
But this shouldnt discourage you from going out and skating with your homies.
That is what Go Skate Day is all about. Skating with your friends.
We will also have shorter hours tomorrow.
We will be open 4-7 pm.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but its go skate day, and we are gonna GO SKATE!!!!!

Videos and Product!
Well its been a busy past few weeks here at the shop!
We got a ton of new stuff in. Actually more than I'm going to mention in this blog post.
So please stop by and check out all things new!
First off. The first bit of the spring Huf gear showed up this week. Huf stuff is going pretty quick so come get it before its gone! Also we got our first order of Huf footwear, and they are killing it! Joey Pepper Pro shoe! dude has ripped for so long, its refreshing to have some under-rated skaters getting some recognition!
Next up is some super rad European companies that we were finally able to get into the shop! Magenta skateboards is one of my favorite companies right now. THE BEST EDITS!!!!! Pure street skating!
Panic in Gotham has gotten me so stoked lately!!!! its been on re-peat in the shop since its come in!
Palace is another rad European company. With a very unique take on skateboarding, they have kind of developed a cult following! Watch this little video. also we will be getting more soon!
And lastly- We received some Theories of Atlantis gear. Theories of Atlantis is a creation of Josh Stewart. The dude who made all of the Static videos, and worked on countless other amazing videos. If you dont know the static videos, you are seriously blowing it! Look up Static 2. watch every part! All are amazing!!!!
Also a new Static video is in the works, so be prepared for amazingness!

New Arrivals 1-25
We got some new things in this week. Stop by and check em out!

Remind Insoles. Cush and Remedy.
Seriously, a good insole can make a huge difference.
I never cared until I started having knee problems, and found out I needed arch support.
Its not only helped my knees, but also my back and posture. (stretching, and exercises also help alot!)
But, its pretty cool that there are insole brands now that actually look at the science of landing , and make insoles for skateboarding specifically. Also they will last multiple pairs of shoes.

We are doing some winter re-arranging, and painting.

Happy New Year!
We at Rhett hope everyone had a safe and happy new year!
2012 was a great year, but 2013 is gonna rule even harder!
Winter in Indiana sucks, so we are trying to make some things happen these next few months that will hopefully make it a little less sucky-
First off. Our winter hours start today, Jan 2.
They will be: Monday-Saturday 12-6 pm.
Sunday 1-5 pm.
Secondly, we are going to start doing a weekly video showing called
'T.V. PARTY at Rhett!'
Basically every Friday from 6-8 pm we will be showing skate videos at the shop on the big screen!
(or at least a bigger screen than our current TV!)
The plan is to show all different types of videos. Classics, Brand new videos, Indie videos, Documentaries, etc....
Our first 'T.V. PARTY at Rhett' will be January 11! Please come out for a fun time with the homies!!!
Lastly,
The midwest skateboard scene gets very little coverage in the skate world. What keeps this scene alive are the small local skate companies and shops that care about skateboarding with their whole being. The folks who put on contests, sponsor local kids, build spots, and save old decks for kids who are broke, these are the people who keep Indiana, and midwest skateboarding alive!
As a way of showing support and giving back to everyone involved in the local skate scene we are going to be featuring a company of the week. Only small, local, midwest brands!
We will be posting videos online, and putting their decks on sale!
Every week a different skate company's decks will be $35 with free grip!
This is our way of giving back to the small companies who have supported us, and your way of supporting them!
This sale will start next Monday, Jan. 7! Keep an ear open. More details soon!
