Holiday Hours

Just so everyone knows:
Our Normal hours are Monday through Saturday, 12-7 pm. And Sunday 1-5 pm.
The week of Christmas our hours will be:
Monday Dec. 24.  12-4pm.
Tuesday Dec. 25 (christmas) CLOSED!!!!
Wednesday Dec 26. through Monday Dec. 31. 12-7 pm. (normal hours)
Tuesday Jan.1 2013 CLOSED!!!!!!
Wednesday Jan.2 12-7 pm. Resume normal hours.
ALSO
We are going to be closed a few days sometime in January or February for a little painting and redecorating.
And we will have winter hours after that period. or whenever we feel like starting winter hours!!!!

NEW POST!!!!!

So its been a while since we last posted on here, so lets get caught up.
First off the Pretty Sweet DVD is here and so good!!!!
Its been in the dvd player since its arrival.
Also local skateboard/longboard company Capaneus has a few new boards out.
All are 8 ply, 3 styles. a drop through, a top mount, and a drop down/drop through.
Dazed skateboards also just came out with a new graphic,and lots are in stock.
And we are gonna be receiving a grip of Instrument Skateboards in the next day or two.
We think its very important to support local skateboarding. Its hard being the little guy, and local companies are looking out for us, their community! SUPPORT!!!!!

So its been a while since our last post!

September has been really busy for us here, and we were worrying more about skateboarding than the internet! Sorry-

We had a Landyachtz BBQ, which was awesome, even though it rained. We still put the grill under the canopy, and smoked ourselves out!

Lots of good tasting veggie dogs!

SEPTEMBER

SO a lot has happened since our last blogpost!
First off we DID NOT move locations.  We had some weird things happen and just ended up staying where we are.  We did however tear down all the walls we had and made the place way more spacious.
Please come by and check out the new/old place!
Rhett has a lot of stuff happening in September.
While we are still trying to get everything situated at the store, we are also working on some really cool things for this month!
First off: First Thursday is Sept. 6 at 6 pm. at the skatepark.  This is the first First Thursday since all of the students got back, so come out to the park and sesh with everyone!
Second: On Sept. 17 and 18 Landyachtz skateboards is coming to town to hang out and skate! We are gonna be having a cook out on the 17th...probably at the skateshop. We are still trying to get everything lined up to make it happen. So keep you ears peeled for more info. We will be posting more at a later date!

Third: Rhett Skateboarding was asked to do a DEMO at the Lotus Fest this year!  The demo will start at 10 pm and last about a half hour.  It will feature the Rhett Skateboarding team and a few buddies. This is sure to be a SUPER RAD event!  We are really stoked to be a part of such an amazing art and music festival.  http://lotusfest.org/

I took a trip to my hometown a few days ago and stopped by the only place to buy skateboards in Madison, IN......Fizz'z Bike Shop!

Its just a small shop but they always supported us a ton growing up.

Any way there was a box of old skate DVDs laying around, so I got them to bring back and sell here!

There are some classics in there, like the Consolidated Miles dvd, and the old Satori vids.

And there were some cool documentaries.....the Hosoi, and Rocco dvds.

BUT the great find was the 3 Copies of Krooked Kronickles.  Epic video, and super hard to find.

If anyone needs a copy let us know!

BIG NEWS: Rhett Is MOVING!!!!!!

On May 30th Rhett celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being open.  Now we are here to proudly announce that we will be moving to another location by August!
The shop has grown so much over the last year, and quite frankly we have out-grown our current spot!
This is a great problem to have. We have been struggling to find room here in the shop to put all of our inventory. The new space will allow for more room for product, but it will also be able to serve as a space to have events! The current space is just a little to cramped to do video premeires, but the new spot will allow for plenty of room for such events.
This move, of course is a huge undertaking, so we will have to be closed for a few days to make it happen.
More details about when we are going to be open and closed coming soon!  
Also we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us though everything that has happened, and will continue to happen!  And we want to thank you in advance for being patient with us as we make the move and are switching things around!
The new location will be at 417 W. 4th st.  Basically on the opposite corner of 4th and Rogers from where we are now.

This GO SKATE DAY is gonna be a super fun one!

So Rhett Skateboarding will be ONE year old on MAY 30TH!!!!! We are planning a big celebration....more details coming soon!!!!!
We've also been getting tons of new gear in. Come in and check out whats new.
Also we are currently trying to convince the city of Bloomington to build another skatepark, and/or some street style spots on the south side of town in the old switch yard.  Anyone can get involved.
